This simple easy to use lead test kit enables you to take up to 4 samples. You can check everything from toys, paint, pottery, electronics, dust, jewellery, water pipes (lead solder) and even your water!

Testing Procedure: First clean the area to be sampled. Insert the cotton swab into the Indicator Vial, then gently rub the surface to be tested for 30 seconds. If the swab changes colour, lead is present.

Lead poses a serious health risk as it is associated with anaemia as well as learning and behavioural problems including reduced attention span, altered motor development and poor performance in children. It is also harmful to pregnant women as it may lead to premature birth, low birth weight, miscarriage and still birth (The Lead Group Incorporated, 2010).
