Safe & Sound Radiofrequency (RF) Pocket Meter

Sorry, this product is not available in your country SKU: SSRRFPM Category:

The Safe and Sound RF Pocket Meter is an economical, compact and easy to use meter designed to measure the radiation emitted from wireless devices* specifically for the public with no technical experience. The colour coded LEDs provides a traffic light response to determine the exposure level (based on Building Biology guidelines) and the type of sound will assist in identifying the source of exposure. Manufactured in Canada and the USA.

Watch the Video HERE.

  • No technical experience required, easy to use and understand
  • Response range: 400 MHz to 7.2 GHz +/- 6dB (effective 200 MHz to 8 GHz)
  • Sound signature analysis to assist with source identification
  • Colour coded LEDs based on current Building Biology guidelines
  • Sensitive below 1 µW/m²
  • EHS Friendly to hold – no emissions from electronics inside when sound is disabled
  • Battery operated (2 x AAA) – 8 to 12 hour battery life
  • Small, durable and compact handheld design – 65mm X 90mm X 21mm
  • Two Year Warranty

To determine the radiofrequency emissions from external and internal sources that impact the home (200 MHz and 8 GHz) such as:

  • Smart meter emissions
  • Wireless routers (both 2.4 and 5 GHz channels)
  • Cell towers
  • Cell phone emissions
  • Cordless home phones
  • Bluetooth devices
  • Baby monitors
  • Airport radar
  • Microwave oven leakage detection
  • Video game consoles

Keep the unit 30 cm from your body. Turn the unit on and wait 10 seconds for the unit to calibrate, then scan the area by moving the meter from side to side (to measure RF signals from all directions). The Building Biology limit is  10 uW/m². For more information regarding the sources of radiofrequencies in the home, read Healthy Home Healthy Family.

Traffic light signal:

  • Slight: green flashing light (< 1 uW/m²)
  • Slight: green light (1 to 10 uW/m²)
  • Moderate: yellow light (10 to 100 uW/m²)
  • High: orange light (100 to 1,000 uW/m²)
  • Extreme: red light (1,000 to 10,000 uW/m²)
  • Extreme: red light flashing (>10,000 uW/m²)
